A Farm Story

Elizabeth Powell has trained her lovely Desert Arabian Masada Susar since infancy and is now beginning her show career.  She had a very successful first showing year by winning Adult Walk Trot High Point at the September show.

Dianne Huey is showing Moosie, a Desert Arabian gelding in Easy Trail.

Keith Kosel successfully shows several horses in our shows.  Here he is showing Jedi in a hard trail class.  Keith and Jedi also show in Class A  Arabian dressage, as well as Western and Hunter.  Jedi is Desert Arabian who shows the versatility and adaptability of the breed.
John Helfrich and Dusty show English, Trail, and Jumping and have had a very successful year in 2005.  John and Dusty are progressing nicely and have a great future in jumping and perhaps dressage as well. Dusty is an AQHA mare.

Sarah Bane on The Black, Jan Cooper who rides Satron (Addie), and Sam Brice on the lovely Tennessee Walking gelding Brick, are shown here winning the Championships in the May 2005 show.

Jan Cooper and Ellen Cowgill entertain us monthly by turning our pairs classes into costume events.  At this show, they dressed as cows......I think they were "cow girls" on their horses!  Every show we look forward to seeing what they will come dressed as.  They have shown us such original costumes as Bush and Gore,  Thanksgiving turkeys,  and the hurricaines Katrina and Rita!
Keith Kosel has trained this lovely Desert Arabian mare Nefrett himself. He is just starting to show her in Western pleasure and Trail and she is doing very well.  Nefrett won several walk trot western classes and also some trail classes in 2005.

Susar Farm is the home of beautiful and talented Asil Desert Arabians.
