A Farm Story

AK Maslaha (*Tuhotmos x *Sawraa) is a 1980 Hadban Inzahi mare who is the foundation of our blended (Old and New Egyptian) program. Maslaha is considered by many to be the most beautiful of all the *Tuhotmos daughters and she passes her extreme beauty, size, and power to her offspring.

Maslaha was bred by the Hebers and came to Susar Farm as a 13 year old mare and thus is the only horse in our breeding program who is not a trained horse.  Maslaha has nonetheless proven her ability to produce winners as she has sons and daughters who are Regional winners in the Sporthorse division.

J Jodena (AK El Hassan x AK Maslaha) is a 1988 Hadban Inzahi daughter of Maslaha.  Spunky is a wonderful broodmare, but she also has an illustrious career carrying Elizabeth Powell to Show Trail wins in Open Horse Shows.  Spunky is the dam of Susar Monsada who is a multiple Region 9 Champion Sporthorse.
Susar Masladan (Danio) is a 1998 stallion by Masada El Rabdan x AK Maslaha.  Danio is owned by Mary Fields and is studing to become an endurance horse.  Danio is also winning in Region 9 Sporthorse competition.
Susar Sareela (Corky) is a 1996 mare by Masada El Rabdan x AK Maslaha.  Corky is owned by Keith Kosel and is a multi Region 9 Sporthorse winner.  We have bred Maslaha exclusively to Tucky because we believe that the *Tuhotmos blood offers much in movement, trainability, and overall quality, and since there is not much of it in a concentrated form, we have bred two *Tuhotmos offspring together to assure that the *Tuhotmos influence is available to future breeders in a concentrated form.  We have 5 50% *Tuhotmos horses from our program.
Susar Bint Maslaha (Masada El Rabdan X AK Maslaha) was a 1994 filly who tragically died before her yearling year.  She caught some virus that even Texas A & M was unable to identify, and we lost her in spite of months of agonizing struggle.
This is Bint Maslaha, a 2004 filly by Masada El Rabdan X AK Maslaha.  Bint is an embryo transfer foal, and probably will be the last of this wonderful mares produce.  Bint is owned by Keith Kosel, and she will be Sporthorse.

Susar Farm is the home of beautiful and talented Asil Desert Arabians.
